Is there some weird war between AA forums and Atari I/O forums?

Recommended Posts

I think there is a guy that goes by btbfilms76 I on here. He has a YouTube channel and he has mentioned he is a mod on Atari.io

Maybe he can shed light on this?

This whole thing is really bizarre

Maybe they didnt realize I scour the internet obsessivley looking for even a whisper of Intellivision? Maybe they think they were invisible.

Im sorry I drug Eric into this mess too.....His good name has been ran through the mud.

<<<----------- Banned from Atari.io

They have over 300 members. I wonder how many of that amount are banned? One good way to inflate your member count!

It's an Intellivoice cart that just repeats Tron: Solar Sailer's odd-sounding "Can't" back and forth... ;)

Haha. I don't think Atari.io know who they are dealing with when it comes to Eric......this guy is a heavy hitter

Rev, you showed that you were more of a man than they will ever be. Who on earth bans someone for being forthright, honest and even apologetic?

By the way, what got into you? That's so unlike you. ;)

I am sorely tempted to create an account over there and laugh at them ... but I don't know if I really want to double their member count.

No apology goes unpunished.

Why bother trumpeting your belief in free speech, only to write a page and a half treatise on how we'll ban you if we don't agree with what you've said?

Ah well, live and let live. Fascinating little site. Reminds me of IRC splinter channels BITD.

Thanks for posting that. I see multiple violations of their own rules in just that thread. Giving Albert a "hearty manslap" sounds like violence to me.

I actually created an account there last year but have been inactive for quite some time. If people can't take a funny harmless prank or any sort of sense of humor then I'm out and I'll take the ban hammer. "Atari I'm/Out". Most of my posts have been in the scoreboard and high score challenges. Out of 300 odd members only 20-25 are active.

This is the weirdest thread I've read in years. A secret forum? Catty drama? And I get dibs on "Hearty Manslap" for my next oxymoronic/ironic Wilson Sisters/Loverboy crossover band!

First of all, I was banned from there for objecting to the NoSwearGamer NoSwearSpammer for starting multiple threads where he was embedding his videos. Atari.io already has a subforum where someone can create a thread to embed their latest and greatest videos. If you peruse the forums I think you'll find 7 or 8 or 10 threads he started where he embeds his videos. If you're someone like me who isn't a subscriber to his channel, this comes off as spammy when on top of that he posts links to YouTube videos in status updates and talks about his videos in the chat room. Even Justin (the forum God) agreed with me in a PM that what he was doing was excessive. Then when he didn't do anything about it (I requested that they install the Ignore Thread mod) and I expressed my opinion in one of his newly created YouTube threads they sent me to banned camp.

You're not missing anything over there. Most of the content is YouTubers embedding their latest videos or them talking about content they found on AtariAge. Why bother with a forum that discusses content sourced from another, more active forum? And everyone knows that AtariAge is THE place to be to discuss pre-crash gaming among other things.

We have always been at war with Eastasia Atari I/O! ;)

Seriously though, I've never heard of them. If there's a war it's a one sided one.

Ok. So there is a Junior Pacman but there it was found in Lancaster, PA.

Instead it is a project by Rev et al.? Is this correct?

See what happens when I do work at work.

Actually, if this is true, it made little sense that someone found a board in PA.

But then again, you never know where something will be found.

I never heard of Atari I/O until this thread.

Why bother looking for another site when this one has everything?

Except manslapping. That is not acceptable here.

If I'm there next year, I'll bring protective gear.
