Vorticon #1 Posted October 31, 2016 Aside from the 4 chips in the interface card, what else could go wrong with it? In my case, the 32K memory card will no longer be recognized, and neither will the disk controller. I replaced the cable and it worked fine again. These cables are getting hard to find, and it would be nice if I could fix them. I have already had 2 interfaces go bad on me over the past 4-5 years... I wonder if one of our hardware geniuses here (ksarul I'm talking to you) would be interested in creating a new interface for the rest of us...

There are more components on the actual connector of the interface cable that plugs in the 4A. you have to open it to see them. It's possible one of the components on the actual connector might be bad. there is a view below on mainbyte.com HERE Edited October 31, 2016 by Shift838
Vorticon #3 Posted November 1, 2016 OK thanks. None of the chips are socketed, so replacing them will be a real pain...
