New Donkey Kong

Recommended Posts

Assuming your SDrive is an SD2IEC compatible, you should be able to put the PRG file directly on the memory card and load it without entering a D64 image first.

Otherwise, I would use a tool to put PRG files into D64 images. Personally I've been using D64 Editor but whether it works for you might depend on which operating system you run.

Nevermind I had a brain fart - or course the SDrive can load PRG files.

Anyway, I gave this a play last night. It sure would be nice if there was a manual. I had to do some guessing to figure out how to get the game started: press 1 to insert coin then CTRL to start the game.

Also, without a manual I'm not sure that there are any options in this game. It would've been nice if you could select USA or Japan for the order of the boards.

Otherwise, I think it's a good looking game.

Those graphics are crazy! Not sure I like the styling (prefer my DK games to look more "traditional" usually), but amazing what people can get out of this little machine as time goes on! :)
