+doctorclu #1 Posted November 5, 2016 (edited) So tonight for fun I played this space flight sim game, Cybermorph, (has five star systems and like eight worlds in each system, plus bosses for 45 worlds) on the Atari Jaguar (of course) [The above originally posted for the benefit of my Facebook friends that no nothing of the Atari Jaguar.] My goal was to complete this game that once took me five days to get through in the span of the Def Leppard 2 disc definitive collection. WAS A COMPLETE SUCCESS. I finished the game on disc 2 on the second to the last song "Wasted". Completed the game in two hours and 27 minutes. A new record for me. Woot!! Followed that up with completing all 15 levels of Bubsy in 45 minutes. So how do you like to Jag? My go to games these days are Cybermorph, Bubsy, and Joust. Some occasional Doom / Doom 2. Ok, I posted the message mostly to brag I'll admit, but now it's your turn to brag. And if you like playing a game a certain way, like how I like to play Cybermorph to Def Leppard, I wanna hear it! WAVE 1 GAMES #3 Posted November 5, 2016 I usually like to play on live stream on the Jaguar Fans facebook page. I may start doing that more. I do remember when I was young I used to play whatever games would allow you to kill the music in the options menu and I would play my own tunes similar to what you said.
sirlynxalot #4 Posted November 5, 2016 That's an interesting idea playing Cybermorph to music seeing as how it doesn't have much of a soundtrack itself. Any songs on the Def Lepard CD fit with the Cybermorph atmosphere?
Flojomojo #5 Posted November 6, 2016 I like to play Atari Jaguar about eighteen years in the past.
+doctorclu #6 Posted November 6, 2016 That's an interesting idea playing Cybermorph to music seeing as how it doesn't have much of a soundtrack itself. Any songs on the Def Lepard CD fit with the Cybermorph atmosphere? The first world, Otto Bahn, is all about racing through and collecting the pods. The drum beat, and that is what it is, is steady enough to match your flight and engage you in the action. So generally I start with "Pour some sugar on me" and that matches what is going on great. Usually by the second or third verse I am switching to the next planet. With Def Leppard it is all about the steady drum beat and how it matches the steady but quick flight of the Cybermorph. Atlantis #11 Posted November 6, 2016 Don't know if this count, but I like to Jag when I talk in the phone. I put Troy Aikman at demo mode and watch the demo game while I talk with an old buddy. Good combo!

Wyluli Wolf #20 Posted November 12, 2016 Ah, well I really like Doom and Wolfenstein on this system. got sucked in by Brutal Sports football but it gets WAAAY to hard (Brutal?) in the second season...too bad cuz it's pretty darn fun otherwise. First game I purchased was Checkered Flag. I thought "how can you go wrong with a driving game?"...holy crap was I wrong!

+save2600 #22 Posted December 7, 2016 Between Skyhammer, Checkered Flag Steering Patch Edition, Dino Dudes, Atari Karts & Pinball Fantasies, I've been Jagging a lot lately! Like to Jag on a 27" Samsung flatscreen CRT w/ S-video in, vintage Dynaco amplifier and a pair of Jamo bookshelf speakers that happen to be situated on either side of me. Almost a headphone effect that way. Jagged so hard the other day, that I actually crashed Pinball Fantasies. Ball did a funny little jiggy thing, then got stuck by the left out lane. Game was frozen and had to reset the console.
