Shift838 #27 Posted December 9, 2016 (edited) nano nano! yeah it's all on his page.. i find it's easiest to stick the sd card in a pc reader (DONT FORMAT IT WHEN IT CRYS ITS NOT FORMATTED) and use tidir to read/write stuff to it Greg i got the DSK2CF program to work once. Not that the DSK2CF does not work, but more along the lines that it said i had no CF devices detected. Not sure but I think my CF card reader has issues or it's a new Windows 10 Feature! +Lee Stewart #28 Posted December 9, 2016 I'm with Greg in that I find it easiest to use TI99Dir to set up and transfer DSK images from my PC to volumes on the nanoPEB's CF card (mounted in a card reader). I am rarely going the other way unless I have been working on the TI, making extensive modifications to files on volumes on the CF card. I do most of my development work on fbForth 2.0 on the PC and transfer relevant files to a 400KiB DSK image (created by TI99Dir specifically for the CF card) with TI99Dir. You can use Jaime's programs to do pretty much the same transfers, but I have rarely used any of them because they are not nearly as convenient as Fred's program. Fred's other program for the nanoPEB, CF2K, is a real gem for working on the CF card in situ. It is an E/A5 program, so you need the E/A cartridge to run it. If you need a 400KiB DSK image of it, I posted it here. I think there is an FR99 version of it, as well—which, of course, does not require you to know what volumes are mounted in DSK1, DSK2 and DSK3. ...lee
Sinphaltimus #29 Posted December 9, 2016 AWESOME. I'm in no rush. I have these new things but most likely won't use them unit I'm on vacation during the holidays. What about TIMIT?
mizapf #30 Posted December 9, 2016 What about TIMIT? You mean TIMT? I don't know whether I should already say something about it ... but Christmas is coming, definitely.

You had said you were contemplating including the CF DSK images in the mix. I am happy to hear it will happen! ...lee

Sinphaltimus #36 Posted January 11, 2017 (edited) I've been getting a lot of parts in the mail lately. Soon I'll start my first ever hardware development project. I'm going to create a custom cartridge expander. First will be a 4 port cart expander. Depending on how that goes, I may create an expandable 3 port version. So you could take 2 triple porters and have one big 6 port. That largely depends on voltage drops and signal loss as to whether it's realistic to try or not.
