My list...

Advanced Dungeons & Dragons

Advanced Dungeons & Dragons Treasure of Tarmin

Thunder Castle

Thin Ice

Burgertime

Bump 'n' Jump

Space Spartans

Lock 'n' Chase

Pitfall

Utopia

Haven't spent enough time with Tower of Doom or Dreadnought Factor for them to make the list but on first impressions they are great. Locomotion and Happy Trails are equally as appealing. The Baseball games are the only sports games I played and they are all good especially WSML Baseball on the ECS, which was far ahead of its time with the speech and camera angles.

Best homebrews (No particular order, I don't have 10)

D2K

Piggy Bank

Ms Pacman

Christmas Carol

Lost Caverns of Kroz

Copter Command

Space Raid

If I didn't list a homebrew, it may well be that I simply haven't played it enough yet to judge.

Then, go here and judge...

Here are my own favourites of all time, in more or less order of preference:

  1. Christmas Carol
  2. B-17 Bomber
  3. Advanced Dungeons & Dragons (Cloudy Mountain)
  4. BurgerTime
  5. TRON: Deadly Discs
  6. Dracula
  7. Utopia
  8. Night Stalker
  9. Star Strike
  10. Bomb Squad

Although I can't really play Christmas Carol much any more since I'm all "carolled out" by now. Whew!

Also, there are a few other games that have a warm spot in my hear, like "The Learning Company: Math Fun," "Loco-Motion," "Astrosmash," and "Super Pro Tennis," "Carnival," "Frog Bog," and "Shark! Shark!," among others; and I love the frantic mayhem of "Worm Whomper" and "Hover Force"; but you gotta pick 10, so there they are.

DZ- "Carolled Out"

That is why I left Ms. Pacman off the list. I have played way too much Pac Man and various versions over the years to want to play it often now.

Ms. Pacman is a great game, just not a current favorite.

Darn, forgot about Loco-motion and Hover Force. 2 More great games.

I think in terms of hours played, Sports games excluded.

Astrosmash! is most likely number 1. It was one of the few 1 player games I had for a long time. Some how Space Armada never hooked me.

Utopia got a lot of love back in the day.

Tron Deadly Discs. On the other side of the screen, it all looks so easy.

pinball

bump n jump

burgertime

hover force ( this game along with Super Pro Football, kept my love for Intellivision alive. ) The C=64 had taken over around 84-85

b17 bomber

bomb squad...the code the code, figure out the code!

Space Battle. I knew they were cylons!

How can we narrow a list to just 10!!!!!!

Snafu

Shark! Shark!

Burgertime

AD&D Cloudy Mountain

Chip Shot (bought it a year ago and love it. It might be my favorite right now.)

Triple Action: Biplanes

Utopia

Football

Astrosmash

#10: Christmas Carol. This is a hypothetical pick because I don't own a copy or have an emulator, but I am pretty sure This would be played a lot.

Go download the ROM. It comes in a nice package with an Emulator, so all you have to do is click the icon to run. ;)

Ummmm. I doubt all you do is click a button to play a game via emulator. Lololol

I tried for 5 years trying to get emulation to work.

Now the LTO Flash works great!

I would be surprised if it didn't work on your computer. Do you have windows or Macintosh? There's one version for each. It is a fully contained package that includes the binaries and information necessary. In windows it puts a shortcut in your start menu so that you can run it directly. In Macintosh you just drag it into your applications folder.

Now I'm curious. Could you try to see?

I like list threads. I'll try to explain why I like what I like.

AD&D Cloudy Mountain -- a roguelike!

Tower of Doom -- same kind of thing, only better

Microsurgeon -- Innovative, unmatched. Amazed this hasn't been updated.

Dreadnaught Factor -- fast, smooth scrolling. Little ship against GIANT ship!

Space Battle -- a little target shooting, and some light strategy. Star Fox Command owes a lot to this.

Beauty and the Beast -- it's Fix It Felix! Fast and smooth.

Demon Attack -- love that moon stage

Las Vegas Poker and Blackjack -- I learned some card games this way!

Venture -- I always wanted a ColecoVision. At least I could play this game on Intellivision. Honorable mention: Popeye

Sub Hunt -- a little action/strategy that I liked as a young teen

All I had to do was click the EXE and it ran for me. No extra work needed.

I did a video on this almost exactly 5 years ago.

And since then my list is still almost identical. Just making one change. Replacing Demon Attack with Frog Bog. Can't recall the last time i have played Demon Attack and been playing a lot of Frog Bog lately. It's so simple and addicting.

I'm keeping the order the same even though i almost want to push Slam Dunk up to #2. I play it so much.

10. Body Slam Super Pro Wrestling

9. World Championship Baseball

8. Frog Bog

7. Beauty & The Beast

6. Astrosmash

5. Shark! Shark!

4. Slam Dunk Super Pro Basketball

3. Diner

2. Thunder Castle

1. Burgertime

And as far as newer games go, my favorite is The Lost Caves of Kroz.

Oh shoot! I forgot Microsurgeon! I love the game and it is definitely in my top 10! Along with all the rest... Damn!

Microsurgeon is nice in that you can play two handed, Robotron style. Move in 16 directions and shoot in 16 directions; the intellivision needs another game like that.

Here's my list.

Advanced Dungeons & Dragons, Sea Battle, Space Battle, Biplanes, Tron Deadly Discs, NBA Basketball, B17 Bomber, NASL Soccer, The Dreadnaught Factor, Auto Racing, Thunder Castle

I have an Intellivision ranker page. You can put your own top ten there ("rerank") and it gets added to the main list. Or just vote in the main list. http://www.ranker.com/list/intellivision-games-ranked-_original-125_-v1/mr_me
