TXG/MNX #2 Posted November 15, 2016 Its the first joystick without a stick :-) I still use the atari joysticks there are several types so I choose the best one for each game. But this thing would be great for playing Decathlon because thats killing for joypad or in emulator the keyboard.
Rybags #3 Posted November 15, 2016 I'll pay that... I've found in the last 15 years that plenty of games are just fine or even better in emulation when using the PC cursor keys + the left Alt and Ctrl keys. Also given that keyboards are a throwaway item, an easy alternative for those without legacy sticks, the prices some people are asking for Atari type sticks is ridiculous. carlsson #4 Posted November 15, 2016 Its the first joystick without a stick :-) The manufacturers of the Starplex Deluxe Video Game Controller (1982) and similar Asteroids based designs since the past 30+ years would beg to disagree, but I see your point. Perhaps the first Atari compatible controller using a PC cursor key arrangement, although I have a vague memory of having seen that before.
