Mclaneinc #4 Posted November 20, 2016 (edited) I'm not paying your electric bill! Edited November 20, 2016 by Mclaneinc
TMR #5 Posted November 20, 2016 I'm not paying your electric bill! My office is three laptops, a desktop, XBox 360, Wii, PS2 and an 8-bit system - currently a C64C with TC, but there's storage boxes containing a breadbin C64 with 1541U2, CF-equipped A600HD and A1200 '030, VIC 20 with SD2IEC, 800XL with SIO2SD, DivIDE-equipped Spectrum 128 +2, and a 64K Tosh MSX i need an SD solution for at some point - all set up and on power. i have three DLPs knocking around as well, but not the throw distance to use 'em in here. And this isn't even my final form! =-)
Mclaneinc #6 Posted November 20, 2016 Bloody nora, I thought my daughter was bad... She's got a PS4, a 360, a Wii and a gamecube plus her tablet, her PC and an iPod, oh and the TV, almost all on or on charge etc Now she wants a laptop so I'll wait until my mate gets his new one and beg for the laptop (he always passes on his old computers and tech like the iPod to me which is how me and my daughter have one (Pc's that is)) All I have hooked up and on is the PC, a printer and a couple of uncased HD's in pods.. TMR #7 Posted November 20, 2016 Bloody nora, I thought my daughter was bad... That's just on power or ready to be in this room as well; there's well over twice that around but needing a little time to dig out and fire up. i have two SX64s in here somewhere for example! Gunstar #8 Posted November 20, 2016 I had 10 different "devices" (PC, vintage computers &consoles, new consoles, video players, etc.) hooked up through switch boxes to my projector until just recently when my LED lamp went out on the projector. So until I replace the lamp, I have them all hooked up to my TV/monitor again.
Mclaneinc #9 Posted November 20, 2016 I think in our cases the Boss is the power company because of how much we pay them...

TMR #11 Posted November 20, 2016 Could never get on with the SX64, just felt wrong and bloody hell were they heavy... That's why i have two, one for each arm so i don't fall over! i quite like them in part for the keyboard action and the whole "ooh, dinky!" vibe (i used to have one of thmose mini Comp Pros for mine too) but i wouldn't use one as a workhorse. sup8pdct #13 Posted November 21, 2016 I this case, Xl is running a judging program I wrote, collecting scores from 3 judges and displaying the result on a display not shown. Screen keeps stats etc. One laptop displays pics to be judged, 2nd laptop has database to collate scores. Must wait for xl to get show score before anything else happens. I did have a modified keyboard plugged into joystick ports so xl would enter scores into database directly but it started to act up. James
