Nostalgia Nerd video on the Jaguar

This popped up on my feed today, I skipped around as I'm not in the mood to watch a 42 minute video right now, but it includes some Atari history as well. Probably not much new here for people who've been around for awhile, but this is nicely done IMO.

They're plenty of videos about the hostory of Atari and videos about the Jag itself but never have I saw them tied together so nicely. An interesting video indeed.

Watched this earlier today, best Jaguar video by far.Their was a lot of old Atari footage that I've never seen before.

Some interesting clips of (English?) coverage of the Jaguar and English game reviews from back in the day. Hadn't seen any of that before. I skipped around as well but this was nicely put together.

Very interesting and well put together video. I never really gave much thought to the controllers being from the Panther design and just used for the Jaguar but it definitely shows with the strange lip design towards or near the top of the controller and how it would match the Panther. Listening to it again also makes me realize how much Sam was trying to do what was best for the Jaguar, even if it ultimately would bankrupt Atari but after Jack came back due to Sam being out for his health issues, Jack was quick to cancel almost all of the Jaguar hardware projects near the end after the JagCD was finally released.

Nostalgia Nerd is pretty awesome, a legit reviewer. The European touch and point of view isn't that frequent on YT.

I haven't watched it yet but I subscribe to his channel and usually like his videos of this type. I'm sure I'll watch it eventually.

 

He's worth subscribing to if you don't already. My two favorite retro game reviewers are probably LGR and him. They complement each other well because they focus on different things.

Great video! Makes me nostalgic for the times when I was hopeful for Atari and the Jaguar.

 

BTW: this talk about subscribing and stuff, am I the only one that doesn't have a YouTube account? lol Never felt the need to start one, though should have years ago to talk about games, music, show off collections or whatever.

The only reason I have a YT account is that I once messaged someone about a video. I don't subscribe to anything, YT just recommends stuff to me based on what I've watched recently. Generally even when there are good channels I don't care to watch something about a game or system I'll never play.
