Since this is an SGM game would this play on any of the Colecovision emulators?

Or would you pretty much need an AtariMax cart to play it?

It works just fine over an unexpanded Colecovision. The music improves if you have a SGM.

 

It will work in any Colecovision emulator with Megacart support, currently only BlueMSX and CoolCV.

 

The newest BlueMSX download supports the improved music if you add the Opcode extension.

 

CoolCV always has SGM enabled.

I've been out of the loop with Coleco emulators. Really good to see both these emulators working with SGM games.

Thanks for the link to the digital rom. Good to see some of the SGM games make their way over to digital too.

The game works great using CoolCV on a Raspberry Pi. Very fun game and well worth the price. Hopefully the sequel will see a ROM release when the cartridges all sell out .
