Productivity applications! :)

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

Finally have HDX on my RS-232, wondering what apps are fairly well enough behaved to run from it?!? I already have BA-Writer 80, a partial TI-Base install, and a few other things. Any chance of running FW? Is there a hacked 80 col version of Multplan that might run from HDX1?

Just fishing for suggestions and best practices!

Cheers, Arthur...

I know there is a hacked version of Multiplan for 80 columns floating around.

Here is a list of all the 80 column F18A enabled programs that have been tested to work

fbForth 2.0 works with the F18A and should work with HDX, but I have not tried it. I would like to know how it works for you if you try it.

Hi Lee,

Seems to work - but could be cleaned up a bit. I loaded the DIR utility - since I have very little experience with Forth (but do have the cart and plan to learn)... :)

Here is what a screen of directories on HDX1. looks like...

And here is what a sub-directory with some files in it looks like...

Very cool!

Nice to see that it works with HDX!

I see that your build of fbForth 2.0 is a bit behind. If you have no means of erasing your EPROM and burning a new image, I can send you an EPROM with fbForth 2.0:9 on it in exchange for your old EPROM.
