Multi-cartridge for INTERTON VC4000 VIDEO COMPUTER

Recommended Posts

Thank you very much! You are on the list.

Please let me do the Interton VC4000 adapters first, then I have to reproduce some Dragon/CoCO Multi-carts and I have to go on with the Vectrex Controller kits, before I start the 1292 adapter. It's getting a bit out of hand at the moment. :skull: :rolling:

project update:

All people on the waiting list have been served. Waiting list is obsolete now.

I still have some items left and ready to be delivered.

Still looking for a cheap 1292-console for adapter development.

Good news. You'll be pleased with it. Smaller, sleker, and no auto-centering joysticks.

This iswhere you see that Interton's claims to have been first are moot : games like Bowling were made with no-autocentering sticks in mind... :D

I'll report!

I'm buying it primarily to be able to develop and test an adapter for the mulit-cart, not so much for really playing. I don't have time for that anymore, I'm afraid. Making things is eating up all the time. :skull: I'll have to reduce this!

There it is:

Extension Cartridge for 1292 Advanced Programmable Video System family available

The new adapter for the Dragon Multi-Cart addresses a variety of consoles, the 1292 AVPS-family. As I learnt, compatible consoles were made by many manufacturers and were named 1292 APVS or later 1392 APVS or completely different, like RADOFIN, ACETRONIC (MPU-1000 and MPU-2000), PRINZTRONIC (VC-6000) , HANIMEX (HMG-1292 and HMG-1392), FOUNTAIN (Force 2) and more, often using the same Radofin XM-2050 board inside. http://www.videogameconsolelibrary.com//pg70-1292_vc4000.htm#page=models shows them all.

1292 APVS and INTERTON VC4000 are compatible and running the same software, but the cartridge connectors are different in format and wiring.

A few examples:

You can fire up your old console now, with all the games you never had!

Price US$12.99 plus shipping! Dragon Multi-Cart not included.

Did you mirror the rightmost picture on purpose, to see if anyone would spot that you did? :-)

Great work. I don't have any 1292 compatible system except the VC-4000 that I've already got the multicart for, but hopefully you'll open up to yet more buyers now.

Did you mirror the rightmost picture on purpose,

 Obviously I clicked around too much. Did not notice!

Maybe this brings back a little bit of life to these consoles, we'll see. Maybe a few new software titles? I mean, this really is old technology and to a certain extent maybe more interesting, than the already well-understood C64.

If not, no problem. I only made a few cartridges and half of them have already been ordered. That's fine! ;)

There is a gentleman, who did some development-work (2 games): http://www.tempect.de/senil/

Thanks you very much!

No more discussion, if games of one console-family are compatible to the other. I read something about that in some old thread. People were not sure then.

Hi Rolo!

I would be interested in anything I would need for the Interton Multicart for playing on my Grundig Super Play. I would be happy to play all those great games :)

Hi Rob,

Funny! :ahoy:

I'm just waiting for a new batch of pcbs to arrive. I'll need some time for making those ready, but I'll come back to you.

Best regards,

Rolo

I was surprised how easy it was to do an A/V mod to my VC-4000, though it took a bit of trial to get the signal strength at the right level. Of course it'd still be PAL so if you don't have a solution to accept composite video in PAL encoding you would still be out of luck.

Amazing product, I never thought anybody would make a multi-cart for the 1292 system.

I have a MPU1000 and a MPU2000, but with the same old games - Olympics, Invaders etc

I want to play the later games that are too rare to find.

Do you have any cartridges still available, if so I would like one ;-)
