Steve Mynott #1 Posted November 26, 2016 My SIO2SD doesn't have another port on the back unlike my old 1050 back in the day so I can't use another serial device with it. Is there anything like a hub or pass through cable to free up a port? (I know the original SIO plugs are hard to come by so the "poor man's" plug might be useful?) flashjazzcat #2 Posted November 26, 2016 I didn't realise the new ones didn't have a pass-thru. I used to make these:
+CharlieChaplin #3 Posted November 26, 2016 (edited) Well, some Abbuc users created a SIO hub for themselves: http://www.abbuc.de/community/forum/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=2654&p=53885&hilit=SIO+Hub#p53885 http://www.akk.org/~flo/XSH4/xsh4.html Afaik, Rick Detlefsen also sells a SIO hub, named A8 EASI/O Spider: http://morethangames.a8maestro.com/proda8/adv-spider4.htm And mega-hz therefore sells an ASCB or ASCB-mini: http://www.mega-hz.de/Angebote/ASCB/ASCB.html http://www.mega-hz.de/Angebote/ASCB/ASCB-Mini/ASCB-mini.html But hey, a 1010 data-recorder also contains two SIO ports, I used two dead 1010 and their SIO ports and built-in two SIO2SD devices... http://www.abbuc.de/community/forum/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=6100&p=53823&hilit=Zeigt+her+eure#p57703 Edited November 26, 2016 by CharlieChaplin
a8isa1 #4 Posted November 28, 2016 (edited) Best Electronics has/had Apelink (bottom 1/3 of page). I don't know if it's still in stock. You can add an SIO pig-tail (not included) and have 3 available SIO jacks or use a standard SIO cable with the 3rd SIO jack and have 2 jacks available. I bought a few of these some years back. I made one into a barebones SDrive (no buttons, no LEDS, see below). My project is badly made but it works and it's handy having 2 spare SIO jacks. I wish I had planned better. I don't have a convenient way to add the buttons or the LEDs to convert to a complete SDrive. My other SDrive has problems.
