SIO Hub?

Recommended Posts

My SIO2SD doesn't have another port on the back unlike my old 1050 back in the day so I can't use another serial device with it.

Is there anything like a hub or pass through cable to free up a port? (I know the original SIO plugs are hard to come by so the "poor man's" plug might be useful?)

Well,

some Abbuc users created a SIO hub for themselves:

Afaik, Rick Detlefsen also sells a SIO hub, named A8 EASI/O Spider:

And mega-hz therefore sells an ASCB or ASCB-mini:

But hey, a 1010 data-recorder also contains two SIO ports, I used two dead 1010 and their SIO ports and built-in two SIO2SD devices...

Best Electronics has/had Apelink (bottom 1/3 of page). I don't know if it's still in stock.

You can add an SIO pig-tail (not included) and have 3 available SIO jacks or use a standard SIO cable with the 3rd SIO jack and have 2 jacks available.

I bought a few of these some years back. I made one into a barebones SDrive (no buttons, no LEDS, see below). My project is badly made but it works and it's handy having 2 spare SIO jacks.

I wish I had planned better. I don't have a convenient way to add the buttons or the LEDs to convert to a complete SDrive. My other SDrive has problems.
