atarivox how do you save scores and states

I am playing Duck Attack with my atarivox and I can't figure out how to save my place or my scores. How do you save stuff with the atarivox?.

Usually you just plug it into the right port and everything else is automatic.

Won't fit in my heavy sixer. Part of the frame blocks it from going into the right port

Probably you need an extension cable then.
