GORF Anthology video

Recommended Posts

That is actually really nifty... and loud! Glad my version of the game got covered.

Took me some searching to find your final version actually since the original site you linked to doesn't seem to hold the game anymore and even that link wasn't linked to in your first post in the thread.

That said, it's a nice and complete port with the voices intact, just a bit more silent than the arcade version at many times and lacks the flashing red invaders. The matrix is a really good addition though.

It's a shame that the Jaguar version couldn't be covered and instead there's a 800 and 5200 version, which are a bit too similar for this.

Neat video! C64 and 2600 version still my favs after all these years. Missed the Amiga version BITD unfortunately. Will have to see if that can be scrounged up anywhere.

Jaguar Gorf is excellent too of course, just don't have a means of playing it. GameBoy Adv. version looks excellent too.

The 7800 is one console I'd like to see a port of someday. I bet someone like PacManPlus could do a hell of a job with it!

I've looked at the 7800 version and I didn't really like it, but it's good enough I suppose since I've tried the arcade version, the 2600 version, and the GBA version. I also remade GORF myself that's primarily based off of its Amiga port (with some arcade references). My remake was called Commodore Amiga GORF.

I don't enjoy the 2600 version so much because of the lack of vertical movement and I couldn't figure out how to beat the flagship (I shot at the middle many times but it still won't go away for some reason).

This is a video of Commodore Amiga GORF beaten done by a friend (it was one of my very first games):

And my game could be found here (along with some other remakes of mine) if anyone's interested: http://shogikappa.tumblr.com/post/143073417522/vista-game-reuploads
