Steve Mynott #1 Posted November 29, 2016 http://1amstudios.com/2016/11/27/c64-slack-client/ We need to fix the lack of a slack client on the Atari!
Mechanicjay #2 Posted November 29, 2016 This is kind of an interesting solution. A client on the 8-bit which talks via rs232 to some translation shim on another box..... This gets a little closer to the hardware than just telnetting to your linux box and running finch (which is what I do now) to talk over slack with my Atari.
gozar #3 Posted November 30, 2016 From my response on ##atari: :-) 19:10 <gozar> What would be nicer than a set up that only does the Slack API, would be one that would allow an 8-bit to just do any REST interface to the Pi, and then the Pi uses TCP/IP & SSL to make the connection to the service. 19:10 <gozar> Like the ethernet cart, but offload SSL and TCP/IP to the Pi. 19:14 <gozar> And since it's a Pi, internet games would be possible, using the pi to run the server for the clients.
