Is this T-Handle cart on german ebay real?

I cross-checked with atariboxed.com and the one in the database has the label the other way round. The thing on ebay looks fishy. Too "new" for my taste.

Not that I'd pay 99 € for a not-even-super-rare 2600 cart anyway. I'm just curious if this guy is legit.

I do not know the seller,

but what I noticed is that the picture looks oddly similar to the Spider Monster scan image in the database from Rom Hunter. (same stains on the label)

Fortunately this can not happen to our scans ;)

The pictures from the Funvision games with this sort of label are actually always so that the t-handle is down.

99€ for this cart with a reprint label is way too much.

These are not stains, but skyscrapers.

Also, it's not the same cart.

T-handles with the label upside down are known to exist.

I'm not 100% sure that E-bay cart has genuine label, though.

Hard to see with that vaseline look.

hi Rom, I know you have eagle eyes.

please look very carefully. the second scan from you in the database has marks

- at the "MO" from the word monster

- labeldemolitions at the cloud in the pic bottom right.

- a spot in the pic bottom left between the hat and the umbrella in the sky.

;)

same marks = same print of the scan

I don't know much about rarity and label variations (actually, anything at all), but the picture on the auction surely looks like an home print label: it looks like it has been cut using scissors (especially the corners which are quite irregular and each with a different radius) and while the label is a bit blurred and smeared, the texture of the plastic shell is on focus and clearly visible.

Here's the picture as a reference (as the ebay link will stop working after a while)

and some details of the corners and side edge only:

You're right, Schitti.

I was looking at the last cart scan on our page (with the same upside down label style).

It must be a print of that second cart scan.

The uneven corners and blurry label are also significant.

Most certainly a fake label.

Thanks guys. I had a feeling something was wrong. Funny: Now he does state that the label was replaced in the description. I am pretty sure that wasn't there last week when I first saw it (It got re-listed). I guess now that he mentions it's a fake label, there's no point in reporting it.

(edit): I think I would be ready to pay 30 euro for it. Just for shits and giggles, and because I never had a T-Handle cart in my hands. But 99? Not even if the label was real.
