Ralphnet Adapter Help?

Was playing some WII. My ralphnet adapter broke all of a sudden not sure how. It converts WII to Gamecube. I bought the soldering iron. But not sure. Does the black wire go in the hole second picture or in the first picture inbetween the blue and white wire in the empty space.
