Rom Collector #1 Posted December 17, 2016 Hi Everyone, I got this cart about 1999 or so from a thrift store in the Silicon Valley. From what I have been seeing here on AA, it looks like the real deal, but I would like others opinions. What do you think its worth? I'm not in a big hurry to sell it, but everything has a price. I have tested it & I'm including screen shots.Robert
+Marc Oberhäuser #2 Posted December 17, 2016 Looks legit. To be 100% sure you may open the case (loaners don't have screws) and have a look at the board.
atari181 #3 Posted December 17, 2016 Loops right to me as well. Marc is correct, you should be able to open it up without damaging it. Pictures of the board would make it easy to verify.
Tempest #4 Posted December 17, 2016 Looks real to me. Does it play differently?
Rom Collector #5 Posted December 17, 2016 Thanks for your comments. I just played it, and it seems identical (as far as I can tell) to my other Millipede roms, except a couple PAL roms. I'm not going to remove the label, as I plan to sell it after all, as I could use the money. I'm pretty sure its real, as the label sticker has rounded edges. Plus it looks more like the real ones, when compared to the fakes in all the pictures I've compared. I will take offers for the next 30 hours, or about 7PM (Central) Sunday. Thanks again, Robert
+Marc Oberhäuser #6 Posted December 18, 2016 I'm not going to remove the label, as I plan to sell it after all, as I could use the money. You don't have to remove/damage the label to open it up.
CPUWIZ #7 Posted December 18, 2016 Real, cool board to own too.
atari181 #8 Posted December 18, 2016 A bit of advice on selling in the forums to everyone. It is fine to let people who make an offer know the other offers, however it is NOT OK to tell them who is making the offers.
Rom Collector #9 Posted December 18, 2016 Unless its super easy, and there is 0% of damage, Ill let the prospective owner open it. So how do you open it up without removing the label? Would this work on regular Atari carts as well? I have a couple regular carts that have something rattling around inside, and it bugs me.
Shawn #10 Posted December 19, 2016 Ya it looks to be one of the short SARA pcbs. Only ones I've owned are the longer ones that don't fit in an atari shell correctly.
