1980gamer #2 Posted December 18, 2016 I was pretty good at Dark Caverns, adventures of tron, Air Raiders? I played them all, but why bother with Bump n Jump or Burgertime when the Intellivision versions were so good? Okay, I played a bunch of hours of these as well. I liked International Soccer as well. Not to into football or baseball. MLB and NFL were way to much better.
JasonlikesINTV #3 Posted December 18, 2016 I believe I own a majority of the M-network titles (if not all), but I've played very few Atari games in general. Maybe I should pull out my 2600 and finally play some. One game I have played and do enjoy is Megamania. The Activision titles seem promising as well. 1980gamer #4 Posted December 18, 2016 2600 did have a few good games. Activision and Imagic were most likely the best games. A few dogs in the bunch. Enduro , ice hockey, skiing and boxing were good games. I did like the 2600 version of pitfall better than the intellivision version. Crossover games were better on the intellivision for the most part. River Raid, Imagic- Atlantis , demon attack etc. Though I like the TI99 versions of Micro Surgeon, and Super Demon Attack even better.
JasonlikesINTV #5 Posted December 18, 2016 I think I'm going to play some M Network today
JasonlikesINTV #6 Posted December 18, 2016 I think I'm going to play some M Network today Edit: So not including variants (Mattel vs Intellivision Inc), it looks like I own everything (at least loose) except Soccer and Tron Deadly Discs. I'm sure I can find those loose pretty cheap and easy.
mr_me #7 Posted December 18, 2016 (edited) I think Demon Attack and Phoenix on the Atari 2600 is much smoother than Demon Attack on Intellivision. I thought Activision boxing on the 2600 was fun, not so much with Intellivision boxing. Edited December 18, 2016 by mr_me
ls650 #8 Posted December 18, 2016 I know I am in the vast minority, but I actually liked Burgertime for 2600!
hwrd #9 Posted December 18, 2016 Super Challenge Baseball. Play it now on a regular basis when a friend drops by. It took awhile to figure out how to switch infield/outfield, but we really do enjoy it.
1980gamer #10 Posted December 19, 2016 I think Demon Attack and Phoenix on the Atari 2600 is much smoother than Demon Attack on Intellivision. I thought Activision boxing on the 2600 was fun, not so much with Intellivision boxing. Demon attack is smoother on the 2600, but I like the intellivision mother ship attack screen. Phoenix and Vanguard and a few other conversion were pretty well done. Berserk, Star Gate , Track n Field and Jr Pac Man are also worth checking out. cvga #11 Posted December 19, 2016 I thought Mattel did a great job with most of the MNetwork games. Space Attack is vastly underrated on the Atari. I think it's because most people don't bother to read the instructions to learn how to play it properly.
