The Evener #1 Posted December 28, 2016 Hi everyone, I've been dialing back into the BBS world -- I started earlier this year but I had to put the ADAM away while I was re-arranging this in my game room, and only set it back up a few days ago. I'm currently using the 300 baud ADAMLink modem for dialing into two BBSes -- Hidden Reef and Cottonwood. With the latter, several sentences will get dropped from longer messages as they are transmitted/displayed on my end. I'm interested in acquiring and using a 2400 baud modem with the ADAM, and I wondered if you could share any photos or instructions about how you've set up your modem, whether 1200, 2400, etc? I have an external serial parallel port expansion, and I'd like to keep using ADAMLink III or higher with the external modem if possible. I understand that a lot of users might start using CP/M for more versatility, but at least at the outset I'd like to keep using ADAMLink. If that's unadvisable, please let me know what program you typically use. I assume that BBSses that ask about ANSI graphics or C64-related graphics simply won't render on our end no matter what terminal program we use? Thanks!
