Finished Coleco Vision homebrew --looking to burn to cart

Recommended Posts

I just finished making a Coleco Vision cartridge called CVDRUM. It is a drum machine program for the Coleco Vision. It works great with the Atari cart SynthCart.

My website is located at the following:

http://colecoprog.tripod.com/index.htm

I know this is an Atari site, but this system is another great classic system, and I need someone's help on putting this onto a full cartridge.

I have only tested this on emulators. I am looking for someone to help me burn the full ROM onto a cartridge and see how it works on the actual system.

If anyone has any information on where I could get Coleco Vision PCB's or wants to help it would be great.

You can contact me through the website listed above, and feel free to try out the demo on any emulator.

You might want to get in touch with opcode. He's putting together a number of ColecoVision carts.

That's really cool. Ditto on contacting opcode. Please let us know if you figure out a way to distribute these.

I have a socketed Colecovision PCB, so I could test it for you. However, as far as manufacturing carts you're probably on your own. There should be a supply for PCBs (the one I'm holding in my hand is evidence of that). I got mine from SylvainDC so you should probably ask him if somebody's manufacturing them. I haven't spoken to him in a while and I know he's recently moved but his webpage is still at www.chez.com/slydc/

You might also contact Daniel Bienvenu, whose webpage you have linked on your site.

I contacted John Dondzila and he is going to test it out this weekend, however, he will not be able to make it into a cartridge production due to lack of supplies.

Daniel Bienvenu used John to make his carts so I don't think he is doing much anymore.

However, I have some other possiblities under way which I will post when I know if they come through.

Atari Age is expanding to homebrew Colecovision carts?  :?

My guess would be that a certain someone helped out with the PCB design.

LOL. It was the "certain someone" that I was wondering about. Not what "PCB" stood for. Geeeeeeezzzz, CPU. I'm not a neener-head, ya know! :D 8)

Well in that case, shame on you for calling Joe "it".    :ponder:  :P
Touche! En guard! Have at you!

<clang crash clang clang>

You're using Bonetti's defense against me, ah?
I thought it fitting, considering the rocky terrain.
Naturally, you must expect me to attack with Capo Ferro...
Naturally --but I find Thibault cancels out Capo Ferro, don't you?

Just posted some news about this here. Yes, we're going to start publishing CV titles--there's a lot of great homebrew activity for the ColecoVision, and Joe Grand designed a new and versatile ColecoVision PCB we'll be using. :)

I've been called worse things than "it" :D

The PCBs look great and will be up in the AA store soon. They can handle all 8K, 16K, 24K, and 32K games with one board. Yipee!
