Uzeless
Hi all! Does anyone know if you can still get hold of the mod kit to upgrade the Lynx screen? I have three Lynx's and would like to upgrade one to see if it's worth doing the other two.

Nachoman
Sorry to hijack a thread, but does anyone in the UK fit these? I have a Lynx 1 and have replaced all the caps, diode and Mosfet myself but am kinda bottling it at the thought of paying the cost of a screen and messing it up. Orange-Phantom
If you can do the caps, diode and Mosfet then you will have no problem with fitting the screen yourself so long as your soldering is nice and neat. Oh and by the way, it's a very worthwhile mod to do, the screen is quite frankly amazing compared to the original.
7800fan
To give you an idea, look at your modern LCD/LED/plasma TV. That is what Lynx would look like after the mod. Now get a pair of glasses and smear vaseline all over the lenses. Then look at your TV. That would be the before mod. That is how big a difference is. As an added perk, most modern TV also have VGA port. The LCD mod for Lynx comes with optional VGA mod, you just add in a few more wires and mount a video port. Then you could play games like Blue Lightning or STUN Runner on a 100" displays. (for those outside USA, 100 inch is about 2.5 meter) Edited January 23, 2017 by 7800fan
Nachoman
I may go for it then, are these only available through Mcwills or do other people buy sell them on his behalf? Also any idea of cost?
