Inky #1 Posted January 26, 2017 (edited) I don't know if any of you have heard this, but the Galloping Ghost arcade in Brookfield, IL has acquired Aurcade http://aurcade.com/forums/default.aspx?a=top&id=4547http://aurcade.com/ Edited January 26, 2017 by Inky
Cynicaster #2 Posted January 27, 2017 Interesting. I hope the GG crew is able to parlay their enthusiasm for arcade games and score tracking into a bustling online community.
Dauber #3 Posted January 30, 2017 I know they were planning to talk about it in detail in their podcast, but I haven't heard the episode yet. One thing that does concern me is that they might actually be requiring *video* for adjudication for house highs...to me that seems to be overkill. If it's for a tournament or something, sure, but just for encouraging goals and stuff? I mean....aurcade.com is *not* Twin Galaxies.

If it's for a tournament or something, sure, but just for encouraging goals and stuff? I think it should be the opposite. If it's a tournament, you're going to have referees and all the machine settings should have been documented ahead of time to make sure they are being played on the correct settings. From there, players should only need to submit their scores to the ref. Those are the only arcade scores I submit because I can't be bothered with all the rules Twin Galaxies has for arcade submissions.

It isn't an unreasonable request...if you set some sort of record, you should provide some sort of proof and you did it on one credit. GGA does have cameras available for use on request. I pretty much record most of my runs with mine.
