S.BAZ
284,392 I've been starting at 0 but I would think it'd be ok to start at 15k or 30k also. It works the same as the arcade game.
Scrabbler15
185,355 The continues are like climbing a mountain. Pushing it higher and higher creates this air of invincibility. But once the slide begins, the starting points get lower and lower. That's when it's time to head back to the chalet and think about tomorrow's climb. .
Lauren Tyler
93,052 Not since games like APB and Hang-On have I used so much profanity at a video game from the 1980s!
Tony Danger
253,310 This was my second attempt, I feel like I could break 400,000 if my thumb didn't get so sore haha.

RJ
97,195 I guess the best strategy tidbits I use are make sure to always get mosquitos (the dart-shaped bugs that fly diagonally from the top), they move the board UP a row when hit. The beetles never go up the extreme far left or right columns, so you're always safe from them in the extreme lower left & right corners. Always keep your area (dark grey area) mushroom-free. If a millipede head reaches the bottom, it starts going UP & stays in the grey area, in addition, NEW heads start coming in from the side. With mushrooms there things can get really prickly. TheHoboInYourRoom
I think I'm fatigued on this game. I did find out, though, that Millipede has a screensaver, so that's cool.

karokoenig
Finally hooked up a spare console. That one has a wobbly RF connection. Better than nothing. Millipede: 74,990.

Atarian7
I got to 131,889 thanks to the tips from RJ and reading the manual. Thanks for the tips RJ. I also discovered on my own that thing you shoot and it slows down the movement of everything for a few seconds but not your shooter. Scrabbler15
Another tip I haven't seen mentioned here - When the beetle is crawling across the bottom, a lot of times it can be persuaded to go vertical by moving the shooter up and down. It's like the beetle is expecting the shooter to jump over the beetle, who then tries to block the move. .

Hyperboy
Bonus. Favorite game with bugs: Black Widow by Atari (Arcade). Reason: I'm a sucker for color vector games and dual stick controls! Sent from my non beer holding hand.
