If "Intellivision Day" is Decemeber 3rd, then it would be good to have a kind of "Intellivision Weekend" gathering in July. 36-48 hours of Inty game play. Whether it is a part of an existing 'con or something we can have on our own, I think it would be great to give our favorite console visibility to the uninitiated and also have fun with people who love the same games. However, from what I gather from the latest Intellivisionaries episode, those that go end up working the booths and can't even get enough time to go to the bathroom without orchestration. I am thinking of something like "Christmas in July" in terms of timing, a way to do something in the summer. Kind of like Kansasfest for the Apple ][ folks, without real product expectations, just playing and spreading the word that the console is alive and well. Plus PGRE is on the west coast which is not super-accessible to the right half of the continent. No sense getting mad when someone else is simply better at it. It's just fun to watch the more insecure Pats fans get all in a tizzy when you bring up their sordid past. They'll post 10 paragraphs of denials and make believe technicalities to dismiss it all rather than just owning it and saying "Don't care, got rings chumps!" like any reasonable group would.
