Prosystemsearch
I've wondered this for a While, and as far as I know, there are no multi-disc Sega CD games! Why not? Is it beyond the system's handling, or was it just never tried?
philyso
Your initial assumption is simply wrong, there are several multi-disc Sega CD games, most of them being FMV games. http://www.sega-16.com/forum/showthread.php?9656-How-many-CD-games-had-multiple-discs

+Gemintronic
I've made 3 SegaCD games so far: Space Foxes, Code Eliminator and Game Panic 2. In all of these cases my game engine loads into 256k RAM and reads tracks as needed. Meaning, you can easily take the disc out and put something else in since most of the game is running from RAM. The real issue is finding enough content and media to need more than one disc.
