jonweiss #1 Posted February 10, 2017 (edited) Anyone know of a adapter to make a 1200XL keyboard work as a USB? I have seen 65XE's but not for the 1200XL. Oh, I know I can wire it right to a doner usb keyboard interface but I was trying to avoid all the mapping and wiring like the guy who did it to a 800XL.. jonweiss #3 Posted February 10, 2017 Sorry, it's not a USB version but a Raspberry Pi 65XE. https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/TynemouthSoftware
+kheller2 #4 Posted February 10, 2017 You want to put a Pi in a 1200XL? If you have the wiring of the XE keyboard to the USB adapter then modifying it for a 1200XL should be rather trivial..
ryanmercer #5 Posted February 10, 2017 Sorry, it's not a USB version but a Raspberry Pi 65XE. https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/TynemouthSoftware Hmm I've been wanting to do that with my Commodore Plus 4 since, well, even when they were knew they were garbage. jonweiss #6 Posted February 10, 2017 No I don't want to put a pi in it, I have a laptop motherboard I'd like to put in but I want to use the original Atari keyboard if possible. Then it will be a PC with Atar8 ans ST emulation.
+kheller2 #7 Posted February 10, 2017 http://atariage.com/forums/topic/181298-atari-keyboard-to-usb/ This is the same as you already posted, but more pictures: http://blog.tynemouthsoftware.co.uk/2016/08/atari-65xe-usb-keyboard-and-joystick-with-raspberry-pi3.html You just need the XE USB adapter, and then should be able to modify the 1200XL to connect into the same pins as a XE keyboard jumping off the 4050s.
