rpiguy9907
I saw this on eBay but cannot identify. It looks too wide to be a transputer tower. https://www.ebay.com/itm/122352967731 What is it?
+poobah
It's a hard drive
walter_J64bit
It's a hard drive I have to agree. From the looks of the guts of the system, maybe it's a Megafile 20.
doctorclu
Fascinating. Love the Atari icons on the case.
Bama
I'm guessing: a full height HDD bay for MFM interface drives. Adaptec 4000A MFM to SCSI bridge board Berkeley Microsystems SCSI to ACSI host adapter. :-) Bama
Android8675
Looks like a hacked together thing with some Atari stickers on the outside. Guy is selling something else that looks 100 times more interesting. A Happy Discovery Cart (of questionable functionality).
KLund1
I went to his place and saw this item. Very dusty, but looks likes it could be made to work. Looks like it had a couple 5.25 FD's in to too. He says he got it from and Atari employee. There could be some very good stuff on that hard drive just wait to be rediscovered !!! He said that the drive spins up fine. But there is no way to know if the head was every parked properly. I do not ever recall seeing the Atari emblem the left side of the unit. Anyone know what equipment that may have originally been on? Perhaps that Atari video phone? Or is it for a modem?
