Mclaneinc #26 Posted February 27, 2017 Loved that game - there are some great Apple to Atari conversions - don't forget the sublime Bandits too!! sTeVE Yup, mentioned it in my ramblings a few posts above...Loved the Logo change... AE is also a fave of mine but I'm pretty sure the Apple version had some different screens that never made the port..

fujidude #31 Posted March 1, 2017 It's also much nicer than the Apple version, which I played at school. Definitely Sirius' best release. The Apple II was where I first played it, also at school. Always liked it.
+toddtmw #32 Posted March 1, 2017 Never had an Apple, wanted one because it looked so 'cool' with a great keyboard and fancy looks but my destiny was to be the Atari as my second colour computer after the Vic 20 and it was my instant favourite. Some great ports from the Apple like AE, Bandits and of course Wavy Navy, they felt better on the Atari (after comparing emulated Apples) but were never really pimped up for the Atari although there were little tributes like the Apple in the Bandits logo being eaten to reveal an Atari logo. And yes, the sea is what makes Wavy Navy such a good variation on the Invaders / Galaxian style of shooters, its just one more thing to watch and makes the game. Karateka was the game I first played on Apple and liked better on my Atari. (Mostly because the Apple Computers at school only had green screens. The "color" on the Atari wasn't great, but I thought it added something.)
