fake Japanese heavy sixer on ebay

Recommended Posts

Just that the stickers that are in Japanese look "too clean and new". All my years of collecting, I never seen or heared of a 6 switcher imported in Japan at such an early date

He's selling a bunch of atari systems that he got from estate sales for outrageous amounts of money. But it upsets me when he's selling something that seems a bit fishy with the new looking Japanese stickers and the questionable serial number that has strange number stamping

So I asked him this:

Other than the stickers, what makes this unit more unique and rare?

And his response was:

Nothing, that is what makes it rare.

It is the fact that it was imported to Japan back then and stickered as it is that makes it so rare.

Those are some expensive stickers.

He probably meant "cartridge" instead of "controller" or thinks the cart "controls" the console.

not worth it at any rate. real or not. It is a nice heavy. looks to be in good shape.

For the console, i have one with the same stickers. I payed a 'normal' heavy sixer price. So i guess there where some imorts in the early days.
