Aldranis
Hello! So I've been stumped on this issue for awhile now, and it's one of the last things to setup before I'm happy. I've got a NTSC GameCube DOL-101 with a D-Terminal cable hooked into an XRGB Mini Framemeister. I recently picked up a Sony PVM-20M2MDU. All of my Retro systems (Modded NES, SNES, Sega Genesis, Modded N64, PS2) currently go through a Shinybow DB-5525 SCART switcher which outputs video to the PVM, and the XRGB Mini Framemester to the HDTV simultaneously. I thought buying a D-Terminal to Component adapter to AV Component to SCART Passthrough into the SCART switcher would do the trick, but this wasn't the case. The video output to the PVM was fine, however while the XRGB Mini Frameister handled the audio fine, it wasn't able to detect the video input, thus displaying a blue screen. I'm now unsure of how to proceed. I'd love to display RGB to both the PVM and TV at the same time like the rest of my setup. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get this working? For now I've just reverted back to the D-Terminal to XRGB to display on my main TV leaving the PVM and SCART switch out of the mix. Thanks! Aldranis
Well, I figured it out. After doing a bit of research I came across the GARO Universal Component Video Transcoder. After communicating with them about my needs I decided to go for it. It came in over the weekend, and was able to finally sit down and test it last night. It works beautifully! It replaces the AV to SCART Passthrough I bought earlier. I'll try and post pictures of the setup soon.
