JamesD
Have any of you repackaged a IIGS (or even IIe) motherboard in a PC case, or know of someone that has? The case for my IIGS was badly damaged in my house fire, but I saved the board and cards just in case they still worked. I finally tested the board with my IIe power supply a few weeks ago and holy cow it works! So now I want to put it in a mini-ITX case and use a PC power supply with it. The power supply is easy enough to deal with, but it would be nice to see what I'm in for with fitting the board into a PC case.
magnusfalkirk
Back when I lived in Las Vegas, the mid-90's, there was an individual that had taken an Apple IIGS motherboard, and some boards and a couple drives, and put it into a PC tower. I almost bought it from him but got a regular GS from a member of the local Apple User group. Dean
CGQuarterly
Funny you should mention this. A while back I bought a IIGS online, and the seller shipped it with zero packing material, so the case got destroyed. I pulled the motherboard out and just put arcade PCB feet on it. I was planning on mounting the board and PSU (along with my floppy emu) to a piece of smoked plexiglass at some point. I just think it would look cool.
