For all of you hoarders er collectors....

A FULL 4A with what appears a FULL? PEB (can't see the front so who knows if it has a floppy drive or two), a few carts and a mystery item.... 49 lbs shipped.

located in Tucson, AZ.

Shipping is fairly reasonable (to my area anyway), it even has an RS-232 card for people who still want one. Sadly I cannot see the front of the P-Box... wonder if there is a reason for that?

It's a sidecar 32k OR paraPrint18 from Doryt. Goodwill didn't take a whole photo.

The funny thing is the assymetrical ON-OFF instructions on the sticky note.

My bet is on the 32K as I do not see one in the P-Box, but I do see an RS-232 card. Maybe the original owner had the side-car memory first and did not want to spend more money for a redundant memory expansion. The P-Box looks to be the early model with the full height slots and easy access fuse (not embedded in the transformer).

The Doryt is definitely interesting. It is probably a 32K, but they did also make a printer interface, so it might be one of those. The printer interface is much less common. . .

One additional note: there are four cards in the PEB: Flex Cable, Disk Controller, RS-232, and what looks to be a 32K between the Disk Controller and the RS-232.

All in all, a very good find!

Turtles just pointed something out to me that makes me strongly suspect this is the Doryt Paraprint, and not a 32K. Note the ribbon cable in the picture with the Centronics parallel connector on the end of it. It has the full complement of wires, which is not normal for most TI parallel cables. Usually they just use a 20 to 25 wire cable, whereas this one looks like it has all 36. That said, it also heads towards the interface in both pictures where the interface is visible.

That makes this auction even more interesting. . .

Looks like the Doryt Systems mystery item is a printer interface based on this response from the folks at Goodwill:

"Good morning and unfortunately we cant find out by looking at it. It states on it parallel output and para print 18 a. have a great day!"

I found a boxed TI Super Sketch at a GoodWill a long time ago, but usually extremely rare when you see anything TI specific in the wild. Oh and a boxed Q*bert at a consignment store once. Think that's all I've ever seen all these years.

All I ever found was a Parsec cartridge next to some Nintendo 64 games.
