motonerve
I have a heavy sixer that I would like to get working and possibly be modded for composite a/v. Anyone around here offer that service? Maybe I am not using the right keyboards but my searches for such services have yielded few results. Thanks.
Hank Rearden
Go for s-video or RGB. My composite unit is grossly lacking and arguably no better than RF.

I have repaired and modded numerous consoles, though never a heavy sixer.

Jeremy Popp
Ah, too bad you weren't a little closer. There are a few different a/v mod kits, the RGB kit will cost around $60 for parts alone, but will have the absolute best Composite, S-video and RGB output available. There is also the basic transistor/resistor composite mod which is really cheap and gets the job done but doesn't look as good for a few dollars in parts, or $15-20 pre-made. There may be an in-between mod out there, but I'm not sure. Anyway, other than the mod, does the unit also need other repairs? What are the symptoms? Feel free to PM me if you want to discuss details privately, but I may be able to help you out.
SignGuy81
I have one flashback I'm working on now and then another and two 2600s lined up I'm going to be working on. I'm putting cart slot in flashback and not sure if I'm going to do any mods to the 2600s or just clean and repair/refurbish them, haven't even taken them out of the box yet. I'll post a pic of my flashback when I'm done.
