skip #2 Posted May 24, 2017 They look like they're decent quality and reasonably cheap...but I can't forgive the horizontal stretching of the images....ugh. Why go to all that effort and not have them formatted properly? Hopefully it's just the camera or my eyes, but almost every one is horizontally stretched...except the Jaguar logo one which is ever so slightly vertically stretched.
racerx #3 Posted May 24, 2017 I'm sort of baffled by the concept of overlays for games that don't need overlays...
neo_rg #4 Posted May 24, 2017 They look like stretch to fit box scans with added text, would be nice to get some overlays with the button bumps.
82-T/A #5 Posted May 24, 2017 (edited) I'm sort of baffled by the concept of overlays for games that don't need overlays... I was thinking the same thing, and then I looked more closely (like Power Drive Rally) and it actually does have two buttons on it where it actually says the words. Headlights and Horn The Horn is a useless item in Power Drive (as far as I can tell), but it's fun to annoy your friend when you're racing him/her. EDIT: Speaking of... look at those prices. The Euro... (or as our British friends pronounce it.. the "uro") has really devalued against the dollar. 5 Euros is $5.61 US dollars! Time to start dumping money into the ForEx!!! +madman #6 Posted May 24, 2017 +1 on the art looking like garbage. +1 on the stupidity of paying for keypad overlays when the keypad isn't even used. But no doubt some collector morons will eat these up.
MAYAman #7 Posted May 24, 2017 I think they're pretty cool, useless for games that don't need them, but cool none the less. If the quality is good its not a savings account buster and its a cute conversation piece when friends come over.

Gaztee #12 Posted May 24, 2017 Reminds me I must work on getting more overlays done!
Stage_1_Boss #13 Posted May 25, 2017 A few themed controllers might be cool, but for these overlays, the art's a bit stretched. = ( Always cool to see people attempting more things for the Jaguar though.
onthinice #14 Posted May 25, 2017 What would be better than overlays is having the molds to these old controllers and adding the artwork directly to the controller front cover. Putting the corresponding button press description on the sides or to the bottom. Probably would cost too much for each but never need an overlay again. Rick Dangerous #15 Posted May 25, 2017 There are plenty of games on the Jag that need overlays but didn't come with them. If the art was improved i'd snap some up. The games that have ZERO button functions assigned....not so much.
skip #16 Posted May 26, 2017 Hey guys, look at the grumpy AA regulars. LOL I wasn't being grumpy, I'd actually like to get some (as travistouchdown said, plenty of Jag games that don't have overlays could use them). I just can't fathom how someone would go to the effort of making them yet somehow not hit the SHIFT key when resizing graphics. I even learnt how to master that amazing Photoshop technique back when the Jag was a semi-viable console entity...it's obviously some kind of graphics editing voodoo that has eluded some. Maybe a set of perspective corrected ones will be released at a double the price bargain in the not too distant future...
Zerosquare #17 Posted May 26, 2017 I think some people simply don't "see" aspect ratio problems. I've seen too many TV sets and Youtube videos with stretched pictures. Even some TV documentaries get it wrong when showing older footage.
82-T/A #18 Posted May 27, 2017 "Hey guys, look at these totally worthless overlays where the graphics are horribly skewed." There are several of them that actually have indicators on there for features / controls on the keypad... but yeah, the graphics are stretched. I don't know why they did that... why they couldn't have just put it into the proper aspect.
Sapicco #19 Posted June 6, 2017 Aside from the aspect ratio issues, they look really busy. Maybe in person it's easier to see the button labels.
