Key for Atari Kangaroo cab?

Recommended Posts

Did you look inside the coin door? Often times, operators would keep a spare back door key in there.

Some say lock picking is easy, others, say "just drill it". I've never been able to pick a lock, so I've just drilled them out. Only takes a few minutes.

No telling what lock it is.

Before picking or drilling though, try to turn the whole lock assembly with some vice-grips and a sturdy flat blade screwdriver. I can almost always twist the lock far enough to disengage the cam.

I've had to drill out a million of these. I purchased a huge lot of barrel locks and put them in all my cabs front and back so they are keyed alike. Drill..Replace..Forget.

Sent from my phrenologists waiting room.

I went ahead and drilled it out. It wasn't hard. Now I can replace the joystick and buttons. I cleaned out 40 years of dirty from the monitor and bezel. Otherwise the cab is very clean.
