SoulBlazer #1 Posted May 30, 2017 Went to my local Dave and Busters today as I hadn't used a $25 card that my parents gave me for Christmas. I usually go about every three months and it had been that long. There were some new games there I hadn't seen the last time I was there that I enjoyed: -- 'Biggest screen' version of Galaga and Pac-Man: nothing new with the games, they are the same versions, just played on a HUGE screen. -- Space Invaders Frenzy: this one was damn fun. It's Space Invaders but there's no ship on the screen. Instead the players shoot into the screen with a gun, and you see the targeting point light up. Your still trying to keep your shields from being destroyed or letting the invaders reach the bottom of the screen, and there are big aliens that you blow up that make smaller aliens along with lines of small aliens. Also every now and then you can shoot a B on the screen that blows everything up in it's area. -- Ghostbusters: light gun game where you sit in a cabinet and try to make it through stages. Very funky and weird stuff going on in the cabinet though, with a space in the front where there were some balls. Didn't understand what that was all about. -- Rock'em Sock'em Robots: like the classic game, where two players look up in a boxing ring where they control a BIG version of a robot and your trying to score more points then the other person. This was a blast to play. -- Bean Bag Toss game: played in a fire truck, where you try to toss bean bags into holes for points. (This one is also a ticket game) -- Galaga Assault: Two stage version of the game, stage one playing close to the original game and a boss fight in stage two where you try to blast through shields to destroy the core. (This one is also a ticket game) Don't often see that many 'newish' games show up in a time frame, so it was fun to try them out. Most of these were not ticket games, but I don't mind playing a game that IS as long as the game itself is fun to play and the tickets are a bonus. There was also a ticket game based on the new Pirates movie, but it didn't look that fun so I passed on it. It's also curious to me how often the old beloved franchise keep getting remade and brought out.
