That's actually gives me a good idea for a game. The pigeon walks around inside or outside a multi story building and has to "pump" some contraptions with his beak (water pumps, levers, ropes, pulleys, window cleaner rigs etc.) so he can clear his path or get some kind of Rube Goldberg contraption going to ultimately get to the roof to fly away. All the while he can "dump" on maintenance (fauxtari) staff, cats etc. trying to catch him, or "dump" on the floor to make them slip. He will find tacos and stuff around to eat which recharges his "dumper". This sounds like a good one for the Amico, or an AtariAge exclusive.

I'm game to help with graphics, design, and marketing if a sharp programmer wants to get involved (not Biff?). It would be something if a real live collaborative product eventually came from this colossal cluster.

Y'know...I can actually see that...kinda like Popeye or Kangeroo style game for the VCS. Have "Up" cause the bird to flap (or assign the fire button to flap and then "down" for dump) as the bird makes its way floor by floor.

Oh, and all the buildings are penny stock companies.

Sounds like a bomb-diggity Indiegogo!

We can make hiring a programmer an internal (hidden) stretch goal.

I'm at an airport.  Saw this t-shirt and thought of you guys.  :)

p.s. Amico is 15 months from launch and our next trailer coming at the beginning of August will show (among other things) 15 exclusive games.  Including 3 Atari licenses.  Just sayin'.

:D

LOL

And about that trailer - I really look forward to it. The gnashing of teeth that will go one when certain people realize that the only place to get certain Atari games won't be on the VCS, but on the Amico, will be glorious (and a little sad, but that's how it is at this point)

A simple picture that speaks a thousand tacos ?

A picture that evokes emotions from both ends of the scale.  You look at the 4 switch Woody and you just smile and reminisce.

You look at the other thing ... and you just shake your head.  One trying to ride off the back of another simply for $$$, doing the original no justice!

grumpycat.jpg.05e9b0a8d6ed98a952aa30a9e1b22aa8.jpg

You have to adjust for size comparison as well. The 4 switch Woody would be about 2-3 times the size of the new Atari Box.

The Atari box will be like the SNES Mini....lol

Time for a new hot sauce, this stuff has tons of flavor and makes your eyebrows sweat. ?

There are two kinds of people following this situation:

1. The kind of person who sees a firm that can't manage to create a working email address, and assumes incompetence all the way down, and

2. The kind of person who sees a firm that can't manage to create a working email address, but says "hey, no problem, building and shipping and supporting a piece of computer electronics is a completely different enterprise, let's give them the benefit of the doubt. and throw money at them."

I just like to see a good dumpster fire, and the Shen Mue 3 Kickstarter train wreck isn't enough to hold my interest.

I almost feel bad for the social media minion who has to get out there and say, "sorry the email address we provided isn't working, please try this one." Remember kids: designing, manufacturing, distributing, and supporting a piece of computer hardware is orders of magnitude more difficult than creating and managing an email address, which is easily done by an 11-year-old of average intelligence.

Hi Ryunosuke. What "contact us" link did you try to use? We will want to check it, but nicky3t is correct; helloVCS@atari.com is one of the best ways to get to us.

here's another one from the veritable gold mine that is Reddit:

the kinda weird thing was that not too long after i posted on this subreddit thread, my account was flagged for 'suspicious activity'.  /sigh, then i had to create another stupid long complex obfuscated password.

Look out Albert.

Looks like Biffster has set up his own competing forum for him and his sock puppets to converse with themselves. Only the best information for Atari Developers who don't exist from a person even Atari won't talk to about software development of which he knows little or nothing.

http://ataridevelopers.freeforums.net/

My God, he still spells it "forem."

So I guess he felt the need to take another shot at creating the "un-AtariAge" by opening yet another free "forem."  Perhaps he's forgotten that he already has one.  Of course, it's seen almost no activity or interest over the past year, and no regular posters except for Biff himself, whose posts are mostly about conventions that he later discovered wouldn't let him in and the many name changes to his IP-infringing games.  Maybe that's a bad look for somebody trying to present themselves to "Atari" as a competent and productive indie developer.  That must be why he removed the link to it from his homepage a month or two ago, and why he made the new "forem" inaccessible without an account (which must be approved by Biff himself, of course).
