Flojomojo
At the risk of steering this into the forbidden zone of Politics and Religion: Old Star Wars is awesome Old Atari is awesome New Star Wars is awesome New Atari is ... a company that has the same name. Old brands are great, but without awesome products behind them, there's not much reason for them to exist.

carlsson
Is there a challenge such as anyone who can eat a four pound taco without throwing up, wins an Atari VCS... which of course still doesn't exist?

There is a place in Detroit, Michigan serving huge tacos but I'll bet they have to use toilet plungers and bleach periodically.

No refunds! Ethically? I think so, especially since they threw around the words "pre-order" and represented themselves as competent to deliver. Look at the comments in the IndieGogo campaign page, and you'll find they don't seem to be folks who just wanted to help some struggling artists. They expect delivery of a product.

Matt_B
I originally thought that the reputational risk for not delivering would mean that Atari have to crap out some hardware at some point. Then I thought "what reputation?" ? 2 1

OCAT
If Chuck E Cheese does not deliver anything his name, along with whatever weight the Atari name had will be worth no more that a single stock share. He will be a pariah, & anytime anyone mentions Atari, it will have a connotation of "Thief & Scammer" No one will want to have anything to do with the Atari name, & thus his cash cow of liscence games will be gone. Also anyone that was involved ie: his enablers will also feel major backlash just like the Coleco Shameleon, and they will all deserve it because none of them spoke up from the getgo. The entire Entourage will feel the heat from the oven.

JBerel
These guys are really ripe for a shipping scam at this point. Just email them and tell them you have a shipment from France by a company called Otari, and you need 1,000 in gift cards before you can clear it through customes. As soon as it clears, you'll forward the card numbers back to them. 3

OCAT
^^^ LOL! It got me to think, this would be the best tech company to invest in 2020, these guys are FAR FAR FAR ahead of Apple, Apple went into services because hardware revenue went down, so basically Apple makes money not from selling youstuff but from servicing you the stuff you bought. Atari on the other hand, is not making anything & not servicing you anything, yet they raked in 3 Mil. that is %100 profit with 0 overhead & 0 expenses, except for a few hotel rooms xD
