That depends entirely on whether you like tacos or not.

If I were Atari, I'd be worried that my new non-existant console is being completely upstaged by discussions of tacos.

I'd love to hear the conversations going on there...

Atari employee #1: "We showed them our new Ataribox retro joystick... what did they think of it?"

Atari employee #2: "They thought it was fake. Now they're talking about tacos."

Atari employee #1: "Tacos? Why tacos?"

Atari employee #2: "Someone was trying to decide what to spend their money on: an Ataribox, or tacos.

Atari employee #1: "And...?"

Atari employee #2: "Tacos won."

Atari employee #1: "Why?"

Atari employee #2: "Well, the gist of the discussion was because tacos exist."

Atari employee #3: "I could go for a taco right now."

Atari employee #1: "You're not helping any."

Atari employee #2: "And they made fun of the Speaker Hat again. Actually, there was a pretty funny photo of a guy in an Atari Tacohat."

Atari employee #1: "Did it have speakers?"

Atari employee #2: "No. It was a giant foam taco-shaped hat. With an Atari logo on it."

Atari employee #1: "We need to get our lawyers on that."

Atari employee #2: "I think the logo was just Photoshopped in."

Atari employee #3: "There wasn't enough cheese on it, either."

Atari employee #1: "Why are you even here?"

Are there even enough employees to have that conversation?

maybe I should start a taco thread...

But under which platform? This one ended up under the Atari 2600. You know, if you opened up the cartridge door on an 800, and stuffed it full of stuff, it could be an Atari Taco. (someone please photoshop/gimp that!)

If I were employed by Atari I would be deeply concerned that discussions about our new premier flagship console has been completely overtaken by Taco silliness in a massive forum thread meant to be entirely dedicated to this product, on THE premier Atari-related website on the internet.

I would probably resign to preserve some semblance of honour for myself.

Of course all this could be remedied if we had anything of substance to actually discuss.

With that out of the way, anyone wanna join me to crowdfund fuji-shaped taco shells on indiegogo? It'll be the next big thing in retro-eating.

What they should make is an Atari branded shirt that is taco sauce proof. I mean how many people have the issue of going to eat tacos, and then they explode when the shell is cracked all over your shirt, and then you have to return to the office with taco stains all over?

"You guys should cool it with the taco talk.

Oh great! Now ya went and did it.

Now the Atari team has a new edition of the AtacoBox that's super easy to use, and let's you take your tacos with you right on your wrist."

ha, reminds me of the Weird Al song, All About the Pentiums.

Upgrade my system at least twice a day
I'm strictly plug-and-play, I ain't afraid of Y2K
I'm down with Bill Gates, I call him "Money" for short
I phone him up at home and I make him do my tech support
It's all about the Pentiums, what?
You've gotta be the dumbest newbie I've ever seen
You've got white-out all over your screen
You think your Commodore 64 is really neato

What kinda chip you got in there, a Dorito?
You're usin' a 286? Don't make me laugh
Your Windows boots up in what, a day and a half?
You could back up your whole hard drive on a floppy diskette
You're the biggest joke on the Internet

OMG people, let the tacos go. This is almost as old as my underwear (which is pretty old). Now back to the the Ataribox.......

Question: if you had a choice of eithe all 2d games or all VR games, which would you prefer?????

ME? I'd go 2d. The reason is the big guys have VR and have the money to do it right. However, independent makers (like me) can do 2d games cheaper and faster. VR takes a lot of storage space, faster CPU and costs a lots more in 3D assets. 3D games (which is all VR is, ) takes a lot of effort, bigger teams and a lot more money to produce. If you are going to do something, then go all out and do it right. As cool as VR is, I'd prefer a console that knows what it is and does it right. Now later on, they could always have an Atari VRbox as well with only VR.
