TheVgaTv #9601 Posted June 15, 2018 So now they are saying that the "collectors edition" is going to be numbered 1-6000, which is why they are special. But did they sell 6,000 of the "collectors" editions? And if they didn't, what are they going to do with the rest of them since they claimed you could only purchase it during the first week of the campaign? Osgeld #9602 Posted June 15, 2018 (edited) they just wont stamp 6000 its not like they have a stack of them made already numbered or anything and if they do actually manage to bring this thing out they will just have some one at the end of the "line" slapping a sticker on it Edited June 15, 2018 by Osgeld
racerx #9603 Posted June 15, 2018 Wondering how much "shipping" is going to be... A shipped "all-in" Tribute has to be $400+, which is hilarious.
PlaysWithWolves #9604 Posted June 15, 2018 The first "all in" Tribute went for $406, so $27 shipping--presuming that's a USA address. Total Collector woodys sold I estimated at 5618, according to numbers before they pulled them down. Should be fairly close, and of course doesn't account for cancellations. How much lying can these guys get away with? Apparently a lot.
Matt_B #9605 Posted June 15, 2018 Presumably, every VCS made will be a special edition of some sort.

Flojomojo #9607 Posted June 16, 2018 A shipped "all-in" Tribute has to be $400+, which is hilarious. I think that's true. I was curious what shipping to my ZIP code would be, but it looks like you have to enter full shipping address and payment information to see it, which is not something I'm willing to do. Atari PAC-MAN Fan #9609 Posted June 16, 2018 Imagine if Atari SA sold tacos! It would be like buying a taco and them not telling you what's inside the shell. The catch would be that they don't have the money for meat, so they would use poo instead.

Atari PAC-MAN Fan #9611 Posted June 16, 2018 Sooo, Taco Bell? Essentially. Only worse because they're using a beloved name (Atari) to appear innocent.

Flojomojo #9613 Posted June 16, 2018 Jeepers! They're so persecuted. Have you ever seen such whining in a fundraising campaign?
x=usr(1536) #9614 Posted June 16, 2018 So, when if it doesn't happen, does that mean it's our fault for being Debbie-downer, negative-Nancy, party poopers? Because if it does, that's some damned impressive capability on our behalf.

+frankodragon #9616 Posted June 16, 2018 I'm guessing "whining" is extra if they want the "tribute" edition.
Osgeld #9617 Posted June 16, 2018 (edited) mad respect in my mind is something that happens when two equals are facing off and one is about to die like rocky vs ivan, or hitler vs vader last thing I would want is a bunch of MAD respect in a crowd of strangers in the interwebs splitting hairs, dont really um ... cares Edited June 16, 2018 by Osgeld

82-T/A #9620 Posted June 16, 2018 I'm told it's a sex thing. I knew it... there's another group of discussion boards on here I don't have access to, isn't there?

VladR #9622 Posted June 16, 2018 Actually more likely its a LACK of sex thing causing the tension ROFLMFAO, you somehow inexplicably managed to beat the Atari's absurd posts of today What are you ? 20-30 years old ? Given the predominantly (and/or soon-to-be) geriatric age group of these boards, if anything, lack of sex actually removes the tension, because by definition, you are not exposed to the de iure bullshit usually associated with interacting with the opposite sex (excluding the "temporarily silent household" scenario, of course). Actually, that response is beautifully poetic ! Reminds me of the '70s and the Flower Generation Highly likely, the guy was just high, though...
VladR #9624 Posted June 16, 2018 Can somebody please make a GIF on the sick dichotomy of Atari & respect (used in same sentence). Thanks!
PlaysWithWolves #9625 Posted June 16, 2018 Remember the Postal museum's warning signs of fraud that Flojomojo posted? Emphasis, mine: Warning Signs: - Sounds too good to be true.- Pressures you to act "right away."- Guarantees success. - Promises unusually high returns.- Requires an upfront investment -- even for a "free prize."- Buyers want to overpay you for an item and have you send them the difference.- Doesn't have the look of a real business.- Something just doesn't feel right. "You got the bomb-diggety [Collector's Edition] that will be super-valuable one day!"
