hizzy #76 Posted June 11, 2017 Gotta be a new console with a new lineup of games.
BillLoguidice #77 Posted June 11, 2017 Bill, will E3 next week have any Info? When is soonest we can expect news? I don't know anything about it other than what it is. I don't know how far Atari is along with it. Also, for others, don't get your hopes up on being able to think of it as a console in the tractional sense. crazydean #79 Posted June 11, 2017 So, Atari Chameleon anyone?
Thomas Jentzsch #80 Posted June 11, 2017 The answer is already there: Just check which guesses Bill is denying and which not.
TwinChargers #81 Posted June 11, 2017 I think it's going to be something like a Roku or Amazon Firestick, but with the capability to play simple Atari-like games (perhaps actual titles?) I kinda doubt it'll be something we have never heard of or seen before. Just some type of streaming box is my guess.
Schizophretard #82 Posted June 11, 2017 I'm guessing that it is an Android console because they have odd names like that using the word box. For an example, FunBox. And the reason they are teaming up with Atari is because this company's name has no brand recognition here(possibly Chinese).
BillLoguidice #83 Posted June 11, 2017 Tractional sense? Do you mean traditional sense? Yes. I've been responding from a phone and missed the auto correct.
TheVgaTv #84 Posted June 11, 2017 Going to be pissed if this is just a marketing ploy for the new Blade Runner movie....
BillLoguidice #85 Posted June 11, 2017 Going to be pissed if this is just a marketing ploy for the new Blade Runner movie.... It's an actual device. How and when it comes to market, I don't know.
5drew00 #86 Posted June 11, 2017 On the teaser video it looks like a console with retro design without a screen and controller ports that I assume connects to TV.
vitoco #87 Posted June 11, 2017 I love the original Atari logo and it hurts me see any other variation. The worst was the Infogrames one. This one is better, but I still dislike it.
ColecoGamer #89 Posted June 11, 2017 If the Ataribox isn't any of those things (i.e. a retro console; modern console; or a flashback system) then it must be an online streaming device with internal storage. If it's not a streaming device, then what else could it possibly be?

SignGuy81 #92 Posted June 11, 2017 I have been doing a lot of thinking. I believe it is going to be a litter box.

ColecoGamer #94 Posted June 11, 2017 Android console. I would support an Android-based console as long as the homebrew community is allowed to publish games for it.
Dr Manhattan #95 Posted June 12, 2017 I have the exclusive scoop on the Atari Box, but please, don't tell anyone I told you this. It's a box with the name Atari on it. You can put your Atari stuff in it. Compatible with every Atari product ever made.
Schizophretard #96 Posted June 12, 2017 I have been doing a lot of thinking. I believe it is going to be a litter box. Makes sense since their last home and handheld consoles were named after cats.
atariactionman #97 Posted June 12, 2017 Perhaps it is a box that plays Atari. maybe you put a sd card in it with bins on it and play games. Maybe multi platform that can play 2600 7800 8bit Lynx ST Jaguar, and the like. Whatever it is lets hope its got some decent controllers. Im just dreaming I know....... But for those in the know stop being cryptic and TELL US. Ooooh the pain.....
