New Atari Console that Ataribox?

Recommended Posts

I'm sorry, but I can't help myself but share this. Just saw it on the Facebook Atariage group. Maybe Nutari could throw in some PacMan cartridges as a special bonus to go along with their Nutari VCS console and tell the backers how UB3R [email protected] they are!!!

Switching to the USA market here-

On October 17th, 2017, he implied on Reddit he bought at less than $0.45 (that day's value, highlighted below). The range at the time was about $0.42-$0.45, plus fees. Yesterday's US closing was $0.45. If you invested in tacos instead of Atari SA stock, pat yourself on your back--and tummy.

I like his comment on Reddit "I'll come back to this thread in a year to see what's what. :)"

And that was 10 months ago.

OMG, I never had a name for that, but you're right, it's everywhere! Here's a list, with pictures. Now I kinda want one. Actually, I always wanted a lot of stuff from the 1966 Batcave.

Ah, I remember that, it was pretty cool. For a while I thought you were referring to the Star Wars ASCII show at telnet towel.blinkenlights.nl (try it in a TELNET client like Putty)

Monkeeys TV show (not on that list):

Two months ago he was still up to his narcissistic ways on Reddit defending Atari SA and the usual, "Just you wait! Atari is going to be so great and I'm going to make tons of money!"

it's funny I did not see you show a chart of Atari when she was 0.80 cent?

we're talking about Christmas ...

Shouldn't you be off asking "Atari" questions that they ignore?

And I'm not sure what you're looking for. It's near .80 euro on that graph as recently as March. At Christmas last year it was around .34.

The announcement of the Ataribox juiced the stock from about .20 to the low .30s June of last year. The buildup to the crowdfunding campaign and announcement of the blockchain partnerships briefly sent it to nearly .80, but as time has gone on, nothing of importance has happened. Investors have seen how completely full of crap the company is, and the stock has fallen to a six month low.

I think he's expecting it to skyrocket this Christmas when all the bad kids get lumps of coal AtariStock in their stockings.

Yeah, I wondered that too. Given that the VCS won't release until July 2019 at the earliest, I don't see why the stock would have even the slightest holiday bump.

From what I heard in that interview, the target date is July 2019 however they said they would release it sooner if it's ready. My guess is late fall for Indigogo and Christmas for non-Indiegogo.

Do you honestly think they can deliver this thing early? They're still working with dev boards, the case is going to need a re-design to work with whatever production board they can come up with, and we've not even seen a glimpse of the system software yet.

Even the best crowdfunded hardware projects tend to run a few months late. For the bad ones it can be years late or never.

Infogrames never has made a console before so my expectations for them to get it ready anytime soon (or later) is virtually nil.

That would mean rolling from dev board on bubble wrap to production in less than two months. That would actually be impressive as hell, and there's no f*cking chance of it happening.

Nothing in this world is free. If you are not aware of HOW you are paying for all these "free" tools Google offers you then I just don't know what to say anymore :)

Being that you don't actually state how I'm paying for those services (like the others), that likely means you know that they are free, and I had a valid point there but you didn't want to admit defeat. :)

If the service is free, you are the product they are selling. That might be hyper-targeted ads on Facebook, because you've generously let them see everything you like, read, post and write even if you don't actually post it.

Can someone target an advertisement to men over 35, are interested in "Adventure (1979 video game)" and have been located within 1 mile of 8628 36th Ave NE, Marysville, WA 98270, United States… They absolutely can. The potential reach on that is less than 1000 people, but if they were targeted with an advert for an Adventure: The Atari 2600 Game Journal someone might get a few sales.

One of today's selections at Ript apparel is pretty good.

Nice one! I corrected the lettering to be more accurate.

Why would the stock go UP when they have to use their meager cash holdings to manufacture, ship, and support little PCs to fewer than 10,000 people, likely with razor-thin margins?

Their March 2018 financial statement shows them only having 3.1M cash on hand. I'm not their accountant, but that's only a little more than what they're getting from the IGG campaign.

Their daily stock chart never fails to make me smile, especially when the zoomed-in y axis makes it look like a penny rise or drop is ZOMG BIG CHANGE! It's probably just PowerDubs cashing out to buy a new Speaker Hat or something.
