New Atari Console that Ataribox?

That group is a comedy goldmine. I'd post some screen captures, but I'd hate to stir them up any more than they've already done. In the absence of any real information, they've decided to fight amongst themselves over who loves Atari more. Anyone who shows any disloyalty to The Brand is compared to very bad people. It's like the House of Un-American Activities but with infinitely lower stakes. 

 

Somewhere in New York, New York, there are some very proud moms. Maybe they'll get to use Netflix on their TV someday.

More likely; they were sacked and Atari didn't check the post scheduler on their Facebook page that was chock full of inane posts. Of course, we making the assumption that anyone at Atari had standards sufficient to flag their communications as flawed. Any one of them could have tweeted a frickin' pic of a box with electronics in it, if it existed.

You have to zoom in to read the whole thing. I really don't think "we" (dorks with opinions on AtariAge) are the bad guys here.

Jesus, what an a-hole Karl is.  I'm surprised he didn't slip into the old patterns of speech I'm used to seeing.

 

Pretty soon it's just gonna be him, the Werner Bros., and S&M Parker talking about how awesome they are.

Biffy also started one of those "forems" with his own dictatorship along with a sock-puppet account "Silfker Games", I think.  Then when he made a post of his link to the AtacoVCS on Fecalbook, about his stuff, then they pretty much flicked him off.

Yup- it's called Atari VCS Devs or something like that.  So exclusive he's the only members, hehe.

Not that I've seen.  For a group that's supporters of the nascent Nutari, they sure expend a lot of energy against 'haters' rather than talk about stuff they think could be cool about the device.

And that is really the problem. They have NOTHING to talk about. What was the last bit of relevant information released? Them in China? Even that didn't really say much. So was it then the basic startup screen? Or the new chip? Or the controller that someone else made?

If I took a business trip to China to get some fabrication work done, I'd want to show something to the people who put up three million dollars to help make it happen. Maybe they posted something privately to the backers, as a special treat for them?
