First Spear #1 Posted June 23, 2017 Why would there be a variation of this manual (both indicate USA printing)? Thanks.

mr_me #3 Posted June 23, 2017 Could be improvements, correct errors, or address bugs. In this case after Intellivision II incompatibility was discovered they wanted to say that it does work with the Sears Intellivision. In other cases it could be for rom changes.
Flojomojo #4 Posted June 23, 2017 I like the ink colors better in the left version. Is the paper quality the same? Seems things like this started with fancier printing and ended with cheap black and white manuals.

+intellivotion #7 Posted June 23, 2017 (edited) IMG_2391.JPG Why would there be a variation of this manual (both indicate USA printing)? Thanks. there are not less than five variations of the Donkey Kong manual by Coleco (plus the French-Canadian): http://www.intvfunhouse.com/games/dk.php#manuals you can easily recognize each edition by the last letter in the code in the upper right corner The first correction (Rev. B) was the removal of Plays, sounds and scores like the DONKEY KONGTM arcade game! I should check what they changed in the later editions EDIT: some changes/corrections are reported on intvfunhouse.com Edited June 23, 2017 by intellivotion

JasonlikesINTV #10 Posted June 23, 2017 I'm pretty sure I have revisions A, B, C, D, and E. I work with documentation revisions for work and I'm willing to bet some of those are due to the fact that it's easier for someone to make a single known correction than to take advantage of a revision to review the entire document for additional errors. I tend to review the entire document, which probably explains why I never get anything done...but my documents are immaculate
+cmart604 #11 Posted June 24, 2017 I tend to review the entire document... Hmmmm.....your history with Intellivision manuals would suggest this statement might be at odds with reality... 😂
JasonlikesINTV #12 Posted June 25, 2017 Hmmmm.....your history with Intellivision manuals would suggest this statement might be at odds with reality... 😂 True, although things would be different if someone was paying me to proofread manuals for errors. People should pay me to evaluate how intuitive a game is sans instructions
