I recently upgraded my mini mame cab to a short shaft zippy model so I had the old stick, button, project box, and old 2600 controller cord so I made this arcade stick

Is that a GroovyGameGear Zippy that you upgraded to? if so, are you using it in 4 or 8 way mode and how do you like it? I'm going to have a dedicated 4 way on one of my cabs at some point and I usually get my stuff from GGG.

I use it in 8 way, I like that the stick feels more solid and since it has leavers on the switches it doesnt take a full throw to actuate, its only in reality about a quarter inch shorter than the one in the controller above, but on a converted icade that's the difference tween my knuckle covering the bottom of the screen heh

 

the stick in the controller I made is just a generic one, and it works really well for most things but I get a bit frustrated with it in twichy fast games like ghouls n ghosts, but for atari games or fighters I have been fairly happy with it
