DM1 is definitely the best one.

DM2 is good but I grew out of it... after seeing it hundreds of times at work. (Wal-Mart, had it playing in Electronics) You haven't heard Gru until you've heard Spanish Gru.

I definitely think 2 was a lot weaker than 1. I think the biggest issue with this (and many movies) is they try to split everything up into several story lines on multiple people that you don't get a strong enough dose of one.

 

I enjoyed Minions to a point, so I see it on the same level as DM2.

 

All this being said... I'm looking forward to DM3 and hope it does better than 2. Kinda wish I'd have skipped the extra trailer on it though since now I know like... 70% of the story. (Another thing I hate modern movies doing... multiple trailers.)
