icemanxp300 #1 Posted June 30, 2017 Ok so my cart only GB and GBA collection is really annoying me at the moment lol. I need them off my nice shelves hogging boxed display shelf space. I am thinking of getting a binder for them and using the plastic sleeves. I read before they work well. I know I don't need 100 sheets but they are the cheapest at under $.19 each. I could buy 50 for $.26 each. These would be perfect for GBA games which are about 1 3/8 by 2 3/8 http://www.ebay.com/itm/100-ULTRA-PRO-PLATINUM-15-POCKET-1-1-2-x-2-1-2-Pages-Sheets-Protectors-Brand-New-/182426179803?hash=item2a797298db:g:fIIAAOxyw3NTlyiM Now these for GB games might be a tad tight? GB games are 2 1/4 and just a tad over 2 1/2 http://www.ebay.com/itm/12-Pocket-Pages-Sheets-Box-of-100-Ultra-Pro-Platinum-New-/370766945797?hash=item56536e9e05:g:w74AAOxyhS9Th7l6 Anyone have these 12 pockets and can confirm they will stretch for a gb gbc game? Actually what I might do is just buy the 15 pocket ones and see if I can easily separate the joints for a GB game to slide in. I think I am just going to go w/normal 9 pocket. I can fit 9 GB games easily and I can double up GBA games and get 18 2 in each pocket.
Rhomaios #2 Posted June 30, 2017 I switched from these sheets to these: I use them now for all handheld games (GB/GBC/GBA and NGPC) plus they're the perfect size for Turbografx cards, which I keep safe in these:
Tanooki #3 Posted July 1, 2017 I use an antique card wood two drawer card catalog. It's wide enough I can throw in two columns of GB, GBC, or GBA games per drawer and it's pretty deep so it holds quite a lot, yet looks pleasing in the room as you'd never know it was Gameboy storage. Flojomojo #4 Posted July 1, 2017 Mine are in an old Atari binder with baseball card sleeves. The GB and GBC cartridges fit without being too tight.
fiddlepaddle #5 Posted July 1, 2017 I tried the sleeves, and kept them in a binder, but got tired of occasionally accidentally turning the page upside down and a bunch falling out. I ended up getting foam board from the dollar store (about 1/8 inch thick) and used a box cutter to cut out squares just a tad smaller than a GB (or GBA) game, so when I push one in, it fits real tight and stays in there. It fits about 9-12 carts on a single 8.5x11 inch page, which then fits nicely into a regular page protector, about 5 or 6 pages per binder, for the binders I use. Pretty efficient, space-wise, but still really easy to flip through and look at all the games where they stay put. Plus, I can put notes and literature into the binders. I get what you are saying but not sure I would like having to take the whole Styrofoam sheet out to get a game. I would think they could fall out of the Styrofoam as well? I went out and purchased 100 9 pocket earlier for $16.xx. I am going to take your idea and modify it a tad. I am just going to slide the 9 pocket sleeves inside the page protector (I just tested it). Yes the page could slide out but I will see if they sell something less slick or with snaps or maybe I can just add snaps? I'll have to see what they sell. I could always just add foam to each pocket as well and then the games would not slide out. That actually sounds like a better idea.
