Power supply question for CV steering wheel module 2

Can a 9V, 300 mA, tip positive power supply be used, and, is the red wire positive like on a 9V battery connector?

Can't remember...I don't have mine anymore, but I think it takes 4 C (or D?) batteries, doesn't it? That would mean 5v.

 

For polarity, check how the batteries make contact and do it that way. My guess is 300 mA probably OK.

You can also re-purpose the Power Adapter Cord from a defective Roller Controller like Yurkie did a number of years ago.
